Grape variety
100% Grenache noir.

Terroir
This cuvée comes from one of our best plots of black Grenache on a soil of “grés roux du Comtat”, mostly sandy, but also with some clay and limestone.

Harvest
After waiting for the optimum ripeness, the grapes were harvested manually on the 18th of September 2020.

Vinification
The grapes are destemmed and crushed and then conveyed in a concrete tank. The temperature is maintained around 25 ° C. during the alcoholic fermentation. The maceration lasted 30 days during which, pump-over and rack and return are made daily according to the tastings of our oenologist Philippe CAMBIE.

Aging
Grenache is aged for 18 months in demi-muids of 3 or more wines.

Tasting
This cuvée comes from a single vineyard of old Grenache on sandstone at the top of one of the hills of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The nose reveals notes of raspberry coulis and black tea, the mouth is on the freshness and the fineness of the old grenaches on sandy soil. The aging in half-muids of more than 3 wines emphasizes the fruit without denaturing it.
